Safeguarding Policy

PROTOCOL IF ABUSE IS SUSPECTED/REPORTED

1. Inform the club Safeguarding Officer.

2. If the person is in immediate danger, contact the Police and NY county council safeguarding team.

3. The club safeguarding officer must report concerns to the safeguarding leads at YCGBA (Ken Pollard), District Safeguarding (Peter Syson) and BCGBA (Paul Ashmore)

3. Maintain Confidentiality. Do not discuss the alleged abuse with the suspected perpetrator.

4. The club does not have a responsibility to decide if the allegations are true.

5. The club does have a responsibility to report concerns and record these concerns.
